BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Captain is back on the ice for the Bruins.
Patrice Bergeron practiced with the team for the first time since the start of the playoffs. He's missed every game of the Bruins opening series against the Florida Panthers so far after suffering an undisclosed injury in the team's regular season finale.
Head Coach Jim Montgomery also said prior to Game 1 that Bergeron was battling a stomach bug that also got several other players sick. After missing out on the first two games of the series, Bergeron did not travel with the team to Florida for Games 3 and 4. He instead spent his time practicing on his own back at Warrior Ice Arena.
The Bruins tweeted out video of that captain taking to the ice during Tuesday's morning skate.
The Bruins lead the series against the Florida Panthers 3-1 after a dominant win in Game 4 on Sunday. Despite not having Bergeron, the Bruins have been able to rely on guys like Brad Marchand and Taylor Hall who have combined for seven goals and four assists so far.

The Bruins have also been without David Krejci for the last two playoff games after he got injured in Game 2. Krejci did not practice with the team Tuesday and instead skated on his own before the morning skate, according to The Athletic's Fluto Shinzawa.
Game 5 against the Panthers is Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the TD Garden.
