BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Patrick Clancy is set to appear on 60 Minutes on Sept. 20, his first interview since his former wife's triple murder mistrial.
Lindsay Clancy was charged with the murders of their three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. Lindsay used exercise bands to strangle the children in the basement of their home in Duxbury, Mass. in January 2023.
Prosecutors claim Lindsay intentionally killed the children, while her defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, maintains that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and should not be held criminally liable for the murders.
After six-and-a-half weeks of testimony and court proceedings, the trial ended in a hung jury after a single holdout juror. Plymouth District Attorney Tim Cruz has yet to announce whether there will be a retrial. Lindsay's next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 29.
Patrick has since moved to New York and remarried. His wife, Dr. Rachel Danis is also set to appear on 60 Minutes alongside Patrick. The pair will sit with CBS Correspondent Ross Douthat to talk about the trial, his grief and baseless social media rumors concerning his involvement in the murders.
His attorney, Howard Cooper, along with Reddington, have dispelled the accusations, with Cooper going as far as saying legal action may be pursued against those pushing the narrative.
The interview airs on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+.
