FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — After a two-game losing skid, the Patriots needed a win. They got it, in dominant fashion, over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday with a 50-10 dismantling.
With the win, the Pats are now guaranteed a wildcard spot, though who they will play is still up in the air.
Quarterback Mac Jones threw for 227 yards, and completing 22-of-30. Undrafted wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson had a breakout game, catching two touchdowns on four receptions.
They're currently the fifth seed in the AFC, and could still take control of the AFC East with some luck: a win against the Dolphins next week, along with a Bills loss to the Jets.
The fifth seed plays the fourth seed on wildcard weekend — right now that would mean the Pats would play the Buffalo Bills again.
