Patriots Fans React To Win Against The Jets, Break Of Losing Streak

CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Patriots came back late on Monday night, defeating the winless Jets 30 to 27. WBZ NewsRadio's James Rojas spoke to fans in Charlestown to hear their reactions to the game, and whether they still believe in the team.

Monday night's win marks the end of a four-game losing streak, keeping the prospect of going to the playoffs still within reach. But does it even matter to fans, especially when the team pulled a slight win against a winless team?

“The team is going nowhere for me," one man said. "Ever since Tom Brady left, they’ve been doing bad, they went from good to worse. Belichick needs players.”

Tom Brady announced on social media in March of this year that he would not be returning to the team in the 2020 season, ending his 20 year stint with the franchise.

It remains to be seen if quarterback Cam Newton will return for a second season behind center after his one-year contract on the roster.

“Cam Newton’s probably going to be gone after this year,” one fan said.

Overall, there was not much confidence among fans in the season or the current team.

"Seasons kind of plugging along," another man said. "I don’t know, I don’t think it’s too high hopes for the season."
