Patriots Game Rescheduled For Monday Night

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The postponed NFL game between the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs has been rescheduled for Monday night.

The NFL announced Saturday that it would put the Week 4 game on hold, after positive COVID-19 tests were returned "on both teams," including New England's quarterback Cam Newton.

On Sunday, the NFL confirmed the Pats vs. Chiefs game has now been rescheduled to 7:05 p.m. EST Monday on CBS.

"Further testing of players and personnel on both teams returned no new positives from Saturday and Sunday testing," the NFL said. "The clubs also worked closely with the NFL and NFLPA and infectious disease experts to conduct contact tracing and post-COVID exposure protocols are now in effect for both teams."

The regularly scheduled Monday Night Football game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Greenbay Packers will shift to 8:50 p.m. EST on ESPN.
