EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Patriots Hall of Famer Vince Wilfork is making a name in another line of work: television host. The legendary former nose tackle is the host of a new show on the Food Network called "NFL Tailgate Takedown," which premiered Wednesday night.

The show pits fans from two teams against each other to cook regional foods in the parking lot of a stadium. Last night's episode was put a group of Dallas Cowboys fans to the test against fans of their divisional rivals, New York Jets. The episode was filmed at Metlife Stadium and fans were tasked with creating a regional bite-sized appetizer, a plate of meats, and other food.

Each episode is actually filmed on game day, and the winner is immediately taken into the stadium for prime seating at the 50-yard-line

The show is co-hosted by Food Network’s Sunny Anderson.
