CHELSEA, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 26-year-old man from Peabody has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in Chelsea.
Police said the crash happened on Sixth Street in the early hours of Saturday.
A short time later, Chelsea and State Police arrested the suspected driver for Operating Under the Influence and leaving the scene of a crash causing personal injury. Authorities said this is his 2nd OUI offense.
Investigators are continuing to work to identify the male victim. Further details are expected to be released later on Saturday.
