BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning Peloton owners to watch out. The company has issued a voluntary recall of about 2.2 million exercise bikes. The exact bike, the Peloton Original (PL-01), was sold all over the United States from 2018 until last month.

The company said the seat post on the $1400 bike can shatter, causing injury. So far, the company has had 35 reports of the problem with 13 people injuries. Some of those injuries include fractured wrists, cuts and bruises.

The CPSC is warning consumers to "immediately stop using the recalled exercise bikes." The model number of the bike can be found inside the bike's front fork, near the wheel. Peloton will mail out a safe replacement to the seat post for free.

The recall only applies to bikes sold in the United States.
