BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — An investigation is underway, after a man died following a shooting in Mattapan late Wednesday night.
Boston Police say at about 10:54 p.m. officers responded to the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Walk Hill Street.
An adult male victim was located suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Boston police say this is an active investigation. Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact police.
The name of the victim has not been released.
