Philadelphia Murder Suspect Arrested In Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man wanted for murder out of Philadelphia was arrested in Lawrence Thursday night, police said.

Wagner Tejada-Pena, 24, allegedly shot and killed a random victim in Philadelphia on June 21, 2022. Fifteen minutes prior to that incident, he attempted to shoot at two additional victims, but the gun malfunctioned.

Tejada-Pena was also wanted on two warrants out of West Roxbury District Court related to two stabbing incidents in Boston. He also recently made threats to kill family members.

Boston police arrested Tejada-Pena in Lawrence at around 11:27 p.m. Prior to his arrest, police had warned that he might have been in the Lawrence, Roslindale, or Rhode Island areas.

Tejada-Pena will be arraigned Friday in West Roxbury District Court.
