BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Those looking to do business with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles this weekend will be out of luck.

The RMV will not be able to perform any transactions on Saturday, November 13, and the morning of Sunday, November 14 due to the website migrating to a new infrastructure platform, according to a statement from the RMV.

No online transactions will be possible on the RMV website starting at 1 a.m. on Saturday and concluding on Sunday at noon. This also means that during that time business partners will not be able to conduct vehicle inspections because business partners can not perform transactions.

“We apologize to customers who are inconvenienced and encourage the public to take advantage of transaction opportunities and vehicle inspections at another time,” Registrar Colleen Ogilvie said in the statement.

The RMV encourages customers and businesses to process any registry transactions until before Saturday, November 13 after noon on Sunday, November 14.

The new website platform will help better manage customer service and offer improved technology performance, according to the RMV.
