Plane Crashes Into Keene, N.H. Apartment Building, Killing Passengers

KEENE, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Just before 7 p.m. on Friday night an airplane crashed into an apartment building, located just north of an airport in Keene, New Hampshire, killing both passengers on board.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane was a single-engine Beechcraft Sierra. Officials say the aircraft went down into the multifamily building near Hope Chapel, just short of the tarmac at Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport, located less than a mile away. Inside the building there were no injuries from the crash, city officials said.

Two people were on board the plane when it impacted, the Keene, N.H. Police Department said in a statement to WBZ NewsRadio that both passengers died in the crash.

The City of Keene said a press conference would be held on Saturday morning to give more information, with opportunities for members of the press to ask the Mayor, Airport Director, and Fire Chief questions related to the accident.
