FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The National Football League Player Association is out with its report card that evaluates working conditions for players— and it doesn't cast the facilities of the New England Patriots in a shining light.
The NFLPA took anonymous poll submissions from 1,300 league players to compare notes and quality of life insights into the franchises they compete for. The outcome of that report aims to improve the standard for players across the board. For its facilities, including weight, training, and locker rooms, New England did not score higher than a C+.
Beyond that, the ranking puts the Patriots 24th out of the total 32 teams in the NFL in the eight categories, which in addition to facility quality, includes treatment of families, nutrition, strength and training staff, and travel. The highest score the Patriots got was for its training staff with an A grade (the ninth highest in the league)— the lowest was for its weight room with a D grade.

"Given the results, it is understandable that only 64% of players believe club owner Robert Kraft is willing to spend the money necessary for upgrades, ranking him 26th in this category," the report said.
