PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Now that Halloween has passed, some have began to put up Christmas decorations, and the residents of Plymouth have mixed opinions about it, especially as the home of the very first Thanksgiving.

Certain residents, especially those on the younger side, are all for decorating the moment we enter November.

“No, it’s never too early, it’s almost like bypassing Thanksgiving and the feelings about it, and going right to Christmas,” one man said.

“People start all the way in March,” another person said.

Others, however, are not as thrilled to fast-track into the Christmas season.

“I don’t like it at all, it’s too soon,” Carol said.

“It makes Christmas more commercialized,” Leslie said. “We don’t get to enjoy each individual holiday.”

“I’m not crazy about it,” another woman said.

Some, even still, are merely just surprised by the phenomenon.

“I think they’re even coming out sooner with Christmas decorations,” one person said.
