WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Ahead of the upcoming presidential election on Nov. 3, Polar Seltzer is asking it's customers to vote for a different set of candidates.
The Worcester-based beverage company has created a "Polar 2020" contest, announced on their Instagram page in September.
The post reads, "Welcome to America’s most refreshing election. CAN-didates are vying to join the 12-ounce Polar pantheon. Polls are open!"
Those who are interested can vote on Polar's website for one of nine flavors, to decide which one will be made into cans, instead of the current 1-liter bottles offered in stores.
The flavors include Ginger Lime Mule, Toasted Coconut, Strawberry Watermelon, Georgia Peach, Pink Apple Lemon, Triple Berry, Pineapple Pomelo, Vanilla and Cranberry Clementine.
According to MassLive, three fans that campaign the hardest for their favorite flavor will win a year’s supply of seltzer.
In order to be eligible, voters must join Polar's mailing list, and tag the company's social media page with a post or story that highlights their desired choice for the 2021 canned flavor.
Fans can vote once every day until Nov. 1, and Polar will announce the winner of the year's supply of seltzer on Oct. 17 through their Instagram page.
