Police Are Investigating A Market Basket Robbery in Salem, New Hampshire

SALEM, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Salem Police are investigating a robbery that took place at a Market Basket according to Chief Joel Dolan.

Police arrived at the grocery store at 167 South Broadway on Wednesday, July 7 around 9 p.m. for a report of a robbery.

The initial investigation led police to believe that male suspect approached a cashier and demanded money.

He subsequently fled to the parking lot, got into a car and drove away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is being described as a white male between the ages of 40 and 50, who is also between five foot nine and six feet tall. He is said to have an average build and a grey beard.

At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt and shorts.
