Police Arrest Man Wanted In Connection To Roxbury Shooting

BOSTON (AP) — Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting earlier this month in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.

Boston police announced Sunday that members of the department's Youth Violence Strike Force had located and arrested 27-year-old Julio Soto, of Brockton, in the city's Dorchester neighborhood.

Police say there was a warrant out for Soto's arrest in connection to the non-fatal shooting of a man on May 11. The department didn't identify the victim or provide details about the shooting.

Soto has been charged with armed assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. He'll appear in Roxbury District Court at a later date. It's couldn't be immediately determined if Soto has a lawyer.
