Police Arrest Second Suspect Connected To Martha's Vineyard Armed Robbery

NEW HAVEN, CT (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Saturday, the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office announced that another person has been arrested in connection to an armed robbery that happened at a Rockland Trust location in Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard earlier this month.

Officials say Omar Johnson of Canterbury, New Hampshire was arrested during a Friday night traffic stop in New Haven, Connecticut on charges of masked armed robbery.

On Monday, Miquel Jones of Edgartown was arraigned on an accessory after the fact charge connected to the robbery.

Previously, officials released a photo of one of the masked suspects in hopes of identifying those responsible.

The robbery is still under a joint investigation between the Tisbury Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Detectives, District Attorney's Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
