NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — New Bedford Police say a man was arrested with a gun at a trampoline park on Saturday.

Police were called to the Funz trampoline park off Route 140 at about 7 p.m. for a report of a man with a gun. When they got there, officers say Chantra Say of Fall River was seen trying to hand off a bag to another person who didn't want to take it. He then threw the bag in a nearby trash can, police said.

Officers found a loaded 9mm handgun inside the bag, and said Say resisted arrest. Police eventually found that Say was on probation for a charge of assault with intent to murder and gun possession dating back to 2010.

He's being charged with carrying a high capacity firearm, ammunition possession and resisting arrest.
