Police Investigating Carjacking In Dracut

DRACUT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Dracut are searching for a suspect in a carjacking Monday night.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. at an apartment complex on 18th Street when a food delivery driver was held at gunpoint.

The suspect, described being 6 feet tall and wearing all black, then took the food delivery driver’s car and cash that was inside.

The car was later found abandoned less than a mile down the road near the Christian Hill Reservoir.

The food delivery driver was not hurt.

There are warning signs posted outside of the apartment complex. One warns that there are cameras and that the video can be used to help prosecute “any crime committed against” the facility.
