Police Investigating Shots Fired In Chelsea And Somerville

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police are investigating separate incidents of shots fired in Chelsea and Somerville Monday evening.

Officers in Chelsea responded to a report of over two dozen gunshots being fired in the neighborhood near the intersection of Lawrence St. and Clark Ave. At least three cars and a home sustained damage as a result of the shooting. No one is reported injured.

Authorities are looking for a red SUV seen on surveillance video leaving the scene. Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 617-466-4835.

In Somerville, officers responded to a report of shots fired at Mystic Laundromat on Mystic Ave.

The shooting broke one of the laundromat's windows, leaving a pile of shattered glass in front of the entrance. No one is reported injured.

Police are looking into whether the two incidents are related.
