BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — One Boston Police officer is recovering and a suspect is dead after a stabbing attack in Roxbury on Saturday night. Police were first called to 27 Ingleside St at about 6:15 PM on Saturday for a domestic violence call. Officers went into the triple-decker and started climb the stairs, when they ran into a man on the third floor landing.

Police said that the man immediately stabbed one of the officers in the neck, and another officer on the landing shot the man. The suspect was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The officer who was stabbed in the neck was also rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive. A knife was bagged as evidence on scene.

Multiple other officers were transported to local hospitals as a precaution. The Suffolk County D.A's office is investigating.
