BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A male worker at Boston Logan International Airport was hospitalized with serious, life-threatening injuries Tuesday after the forklift he was operating on the tarmac fell on top of him, officials said.
According to the Massachusetts State Police, the accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. in a loading area outside Terminal C, a location where there is no public access.
State police investigators said part of the forklift struck part of a stationary structure, causing the forklift to overturn on top of the victim.
The victim, a subcontractor working for JetBlue, was transported to Boston Medical Center for treatment, authorities said.
The investigation into the incident remains active, police said.
