Police Say Missing Man Drowned In Pool Pond In Rindge, N.H.

RINDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Saturday, the New Hampshire State Police said a missing man had drowned in the afternoon while in Pool Pond in Rindge.

First responders arrived to learn that earlier in the day the victim's dog was found swimming in the pond with no one around and was brought to shore. Later a family member unsuccessfully tried to contact the victim and called for help. Police also discovered personal belongings of the victim on a nearby beach.

After search efforts, officials discovered the victim at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening, about 300 feet away from the shore.

Police identified the victim to be 38-year-old Benjamin Dabuliewicz of Warner, N.H.

According to officials, multiple agencies responded, including N.H. State Police-Marine Patrol, N.H. Fish and Game, the Rindge Police Department, Rindge Fire and Rescue, Jaffrey Fire and Rescue, Winchendon Dive Team, and the N.H. Water Rescue Task Force.
