Man With Dementia Found Safe After Going Missing From Weymouth Nursing Home

WEYMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Weymouth police confirm the man with dementia who went missing from a nursing home in Weymouth has been found safe.

State and local police were looking for the 87-year-old after he went reportedly walked out of CareOne at Weymouth on Performance Drive, where he is a resident, at around 1 a.m. Monday morning.

The man was located just before 6 a.m. walking on a nearby street.

He was checked for injuries because he walked out of the nursing home wearing only a shorts and T-shirt, and temperatures overnight dipped below freezing. Police say he may have been inside one of the other buildings in the area.
