REVERE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Police and Manchester, N.H. Police searched wetlands along Route 107 (Lynn Marsh Road) in Revere Friday, as part of the investigation into the disappearance, and presumed death, of Harmony Montgomery of New Hampshire.

According to Massachusetts State Police, the search began shortly after 9 a.m. and was prompted by information developed by investigators. 18 Troopers assigned to the Massachusetts State Police Special Emergency Response Team, four MSP K9 Unit teams, the MSP Drone Unit, members of the State Police Detective Unit for Suffolk County, and members of the Manchester, N.H. Police Department.

"Due to the ongoing investigation, no additional information will be released at this time. Officials caution against any speculation related to the potential results of this search," New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella's Office said in a statement.

Harmony was five years old when she disappeared in late 2019, though she was first reported missing in December of 2021.

In August of 2022, New Hampshire officials said they found "biological evidence" that Harmony was murdered. Her remains have still not been found.

On Jan. 27, 2023, Harmony's father Adam Montgomery was indicted by a New Hampshire grand jury on second-degree murder charges. Prosecutors allege Montgomery repeatedly struck his daughter in the head with his fist on or around Dec. 7, 2019 in Manchester, N.H.

Montgomery was also indicted on charges of falsifying physical evidence, and witness tampering for allegedly pressuring Harmony's step-mother Kayla Montgomery to lie under oath.
