BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Popeyes’ new chicken sandwich is so popular, the fast-food chain says it has sold out nationwide.
WBZ NewsRadio’s James Rojas spoke with customers at a Popeyes near Fenway Park about the news.
The fast-food chain made the announcement in a Twitter video.
Ronea came to Popeyes Wednesday with the intention of ordering the new sandwich.
“My friends are on the way here too, but I don’t think we’re going to be able to get anything since you said it’s all sold out,” Ronea told WBZ NewsRadio. “I’ve heard that it’s bomb. Some people say it’s overrated. But, I’m willing to try it if they get it sooner or later.”
The manager at the Popeyes near Fenway Park that they sold out Tuesday, and do not expect another shipment for another week.
“I want to try one. I still haven’t. I don’t know how, but everyone else has,” Ronea said.
