NH Rollover Crash Lumber Spill

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A rollover crash of a tractor trailer was reported Sunday night on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth, N.H.

The crash occurred around 9:37 p.m., according to New Hampshire State Police. Robert Ross, 62, of Canada, was driving the flatbed trailer, which was carrying lumber, at the time.

Ross hit a center median guardrail when he lost control of the vehicle due to what authorities called an “intense coughing fit.” Lumber from the vehicle spilled onto the interstate.

It took about 6 hours for the trailer and the lumber to be removed from the area, causing a portion of the interstate to be closed during that time.
