BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Possible record-breaking temperatures are set to make their way to the Boston area this week.
AccuWeather predicts that Tuesday will reach a high of 95 degrees which could break the record of 90 set in 2017.
The Cape and Islands will only reach the 60s to mid-70s.
Meanwhile, Wednesday will see a high of 91 which will tie the record set back in 1996, and there could also be an afternoon thunderstorm with some locally damaging wind gusts.
However, things will cool down come Thursday as temperatures drop to a high of 66, while on Friday, they’ll stay around the lower 60s.
