REVERE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.3 billion after the Labor Day drawing went without a winner.

The current prize is the fifth-largest in history, and the largest jackpot since April 6, 2024. The cash option for the prize is estimated to be $589 million.

The last time the jackpot was hit was on May 31, when a ticket sold in California won $204.5 million.

Even though no one won the big prize on Monday, some Massachusetts buyers still got lucky.

A ticket sold at a Market Basket in Revere won $1 million from Monday’s drawing, while four other local tickets won $50,000, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday night at 10:59 p.m. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association.

Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased until 9:50 p.m. Wednesday at Mass Lottery retailers across the state.
