SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Witch City will get an extra infusion of magic later this month with the opening of Professor Spindlewink's World of Wizardry.

The new attraction at 194 Essex St. will open to the public on April 29, allowing visitors to explore six magical realms.

"It’s a family friendly, interactive, fantasy magic museum," creator Erik Rodenhiser told WBZ NewsRadio. "Professor Spindlewink is a wizard who is mostly exploring magic realms, so he travels the astral plane."

After meeting Spindlewink in the wizard's chamber, attendees travel to each realm, meet magical beasts like dragons and fairies, interact with talking portraits, and even dabble in a little dark magic.

"If you lost your sense of adventure or fun in magic, come here and we’ll bring it back to life for you," Rodenhiser said.

WBZ's Brooke McCarthy (@BrookeWBZ) reports.
