CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Hundreds of protestors marched through the streets of Harvard Square on Sunday to protest against Israel's annexation of Gaza and demand that aid be allowed into the territory.
Organizers gathered in Cambridge to denounce Israel's plans to occupy all of Gaza and their use of starvation as a war tactic. Richard Solomon said now is the time for everyone to get involved.
"The reality is, this is what the times are called. This is our Vietnam War. This is our apartheid South Africa. It's moving to see so many people come here," Solomon said. "At the same time, we need more mass mobilization to end the starvation and the siege and the war and to ensure that Palestinians and Israelis can live in peace and with equal rights."

Solomon, along with other organizers, is demanding an immediate arms embargo, the right of Palestinians to return to their homes, an end to Zionist occupation, and an end to all U.S. funding to Israel.
Last week, activists were pepper-sprayed by Cambridge Police while calling for Capital One to divest from Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense contractor. Capital One, along with other banks, has provided more than $500 million in funding to the weapons company.
