Six Hospitalized After Gas Pump Crash

QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An elderly driver's crash into a gas pump set off a flame-retardant chemical and created a snow-like scene—but six people were taken to the hospital after inhaling the chemical.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. at the Prestige Gas station on Franklin Street in Quincy.

The Quincy Fire Department told WBZ NewsRadio that one firefighter and two police officers were transported, as well as three civilians, with minor injuries.

They are now being released, Quincy Fire said.
