QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — You may have heard of impossible burgers, but one restaurant in Quincy is taking it one step further with vegan seafood on its menu.

Garden Patch By The Sea on Quincy Shore Drive offers all their items with vegan alternatives, including their fish and chips, shrimp, crab cake, and clam strip. The restaurant also offers outdoor dining at its location near Wollaston Beach.

The eatery opened on April 5 as an extension of the Garden Patch at AJ's Pizzeria and AJ's Stone Oven Pizzeria in Norfolk, says father and son co-owners Travis and Craig Somers. According to the restaurant's Facebook, seafood isn't the only thing on the menu either, as Garden Patch offers vegan cream cheeses, coffee drinks, and FoMu hard ice cream coming soon with 30 flavors of vegan soft serve.

"This is new to the vegan scene, it smells like it, tastes like it, and when it comes out you wouldn't think twice," Craig Somers said.
