Quincy Woman Arrested In R.I. After Allegedly Stealing BFD Pickup Truck

COVENTRY, R.I. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Quincy woman was arrested in Coventry, R.I. Thursday night after allegedly stealing a Boston Fire Department pickup truck.

Coventry Police received reports around 6:30 p.m. Thursday that the truck was traveling on Route 3 on one of the vehicle’s rims. The suspected driver has been identified as 20-year-old Alina Dunham, of Quincy.

Police said they tried to stop the truck, but the suspect kept driving and crossed into the town of West Warwick, R.I. at a low speed.

The suspect eventually stopped after during into a dead end neighborhood in East Greenwich, R.I., according to Authorities. Dunham was taken into police custody shortly after.

Dunham is facing multiple charges, including possession of a stolen motor vehicle, reckless driving/ eluding police, obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and operating on a suspended license.

Police said the pickup truck was stolen from the Boston Fire Department Academy located in Quincy.
