Quincy's "Spring Has Sprung" Event Features Music, Dance, Laser Show

QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A weekend event in Quincy celebrates the warmer days of Spring with song, dance, and a grand finale laser show on Saturday on the Hancock Adams Common.

Quincy city officials say that performances will feature local dance, music, and kung fu and lion dance troupes that take place in the afternoon leading into dusk. Entertainment will include Velocity Dance Company, Hung Gar Kung Fu and Lion Dance Academy, Center Stage, South Shore Children’s Chorus and DanceWorks.

“We are thrilled to kick off the City’s 2022 schedule of events by highlighting these local artists,” shared Mayor of Quincy Thomas Koch. “Family-friendly musical entertainment is being planned for each month throughout the summer on the Common for all to enjoy.”

Officials say that attendees should bring their own blanket or chairs for seating, and lawn games will be available for use. For food and beverages, city officials say that items will be available for purchase from the Hive Mobile Bar, Montilios and The Whoopie Pie Wagon.
