BRIGHTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) —A man from Brighton is facing serious charges after he allegedly attacked a Rabbi outside of a religious school.
Police said they're still working to determine a motive and it's not clear at this time, what spurred the attack.
According to officials, 24-year-old Khaled Awad is facing charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The attack happened outside of the Shaloh House on Chestnut Hill Avenue on Thursday afternoon. The Rabbi was allegedly approached by Awad, who police believe had a gun and knife on him.
The victim was stabbed eight times in a park outside of the Shaloh House.
Awad was arrested a short time later and will be arraigned on Friday.
The Rabbi is recovering in the hospital.
