BREWSTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Brewster Animal Control rescued a family of raccoons after they got trapped in a dumpster Tuesday.

"Upon arrival it was discovered that there were SEVEN adult raccoons in the dumpster...a record number we have not seen stuck in one dumpster before!" they wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday. "The raccoons were very fat and healthy."
The department released the raccoons safely into the nearby woods, and reminded the public to secure dumpster lids so that animals can't get inside.
