Race Supporting Wounded Veterans Held At Fenway Park

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Run To Home Base — meant to support wounded veterans — was held at Fenway Park Saturday morning.

The Home Base Program puts on the annual run. Runners and walkers finished the race by crossing home plate.

Thousands of participants gathered at the ballpark, including Congressman Joe Kennedy III.

“The people that support the veterans, the people that come back year after year, the stories of the veterans that have benefited from the program obviously makes it all worthwhile,” Kennedy said. “It’s a really really great morning.”
