(Dorr Lobster Seafood Market)
ELLSWORTH, Maine (WBZ NewsRadio) — A fisherman in Maine made an extremely rare catch over the weekend when he hauled in a trio of colorful lobsters.
One of the lobsters taken in by Dorr Lobster Seafood Market was blue, one sported a calico pattern, and one came out of the ocean already red, as if ready to serve.
"Today one of our fisherman hauled in ALL 3 of these RARE lobsters!!! (We hope he goes and buys a lottery ticket now!)" the market posted on their Facebook page Sunday.
"Generally to get one of these once a year is pretty amazing, but when you get three in one day, of three different types of lobster, is pretty interesting," owner Chad Dorr told WBZ NewsRadio.
Dorr said the rainbow crustaceans are currently at his facility in Millbridge, but he's considering reaching out to local aquariums who may be interested in displaying them.
"I probably will put it in my seafood market for a couple of days here this week coming in Bangor, and then I was actually trying to get ahold of the New England Aquarium to see if they might be interested," Dorr said.
