READING, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A boil water order issued over the weekend in Reading was lifted Monday morning.
The order went into effect on Saturday after officials detected a sample of E. Coli in drinking water.
Officials say that residents should "flush" their water "in order to clear plumbing of potentially contaminated water."
The advised flushing includes interior and exterior faucets, showers, ice and water dispensers, and water treatment units.
More information on how to flush water is on the town of Reading's website.
