BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic paused all pro-sports, the Red Sox will be playing several games at the end of the month.
According to a team spokesperson, both games will be against the Toronto Blue Jays, and there will be no fans in the stands.
The games will take place at Fenway Park on Tuesday, July 21 and Wednesday, July 22. The first pitch for both games is slated for 7:30 p.m., and they will be televised by NESN.
"These will be the only two exhibition contests for the Red Sox," said a team spokesperson. "The club opens its regular season schedule at Fenway Park on Friday, July 24 against the Baltimore Orioles at 7:30 p.m."
The Red Sox will play the Orioles July 24 through July 26. The team will then play in New York against the Metz from July 27 through July 30, and against the Yankees on July 31.
