BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Reports say former Red Sox slugger David Ortiz has been released from the hospital.
According to ESPN, Ortiz was released from Massachusetts General Hospital on Friday.
Ortiz was originally flown to the hospital on June 10, a day after he was shot at a club in the Dominican Republic.
Investigators said the baseball legend was the apparent victim of mistaken identity. The target of the shooting was sitting at the same table as Ortiz at the club.
Ortiz is expected to be monitored at home, where he will continue his rehabilitation, according to ESPN.
