Rehoboth Man Pleads Not Guilty To Murdering His 18-Year-Old Girlfriend

REHOBOTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Rehoboth man was arraigned in Taunton District Court on Wednesday in connection to the disappearance of his pregnant 18-year-old girlfriend, Kylee Monteiro.

Gregory Groom, 22, pleaded not guilty to several charges, including murder.

Monteiro went missing on Aug. 7. Police discovered remains "consistent with those" of Monteiro while carrying out a search warrant at 107 County St. in Rehoboth Tuesday, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III said.

Groom was ordered held without bail after his arraignment Wednesday. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Sept. 10.
