BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — What used to be a staple of New England cuisine alongside lobster rolls and clam chowder is now a jiggly ghost of days past.
Coffee jelly became a popular regional dessert when Boston's now-shuttered Durgin-Park restaurant opened in 1827 and started serving it to customers, but today the dish has largely been forgotten.
WBZ NewsRadio's Emma Friedman resurrected coffee jelly and served it to the newsroom.
