Rep. Seth Moulton Talks Vet Experience At Marblehead Memorial Day Event

MARBLEHEAD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — At a small memorial park in Marblehead Monday morning, veterans gathered to march and remember their comrades that made the ultimate sacrifice.

They weren't alone. The veterans were joined by hundreds of people, in what for some was their first large gathering since the pandemic began.

Congressman Seth Moulton served four tours in Iraq as a member of the U.S. Marines, and spoke at the event about what his service meant to him.

"Today is a time with much political division at home and aboard...I think we could be all better off if we could find a little more courage to serve one another in the name of peace," he said.

The event featured salutes, patriotic songs and speeches from other veterans like Retired Marine Corporal Harry Christensen, recipient of the Silver Star for his actions in Vietnam.
