BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston has once again earned the top spot for the worst drivers in the nation.
"That doesn't surprise me at all," said Andrew, a former Bay State resident.
According to Allstate's 2025 Best Driver Report, Boston ranked last as the riskiest driving city in the country. The insurance company analyzed data related to auto insurance claims in the 200 most populated cities in the U.S. to determine which cities will experience vehicle collisions compared to the national average. Since the launch of the report in 2005, Boston has come in last for 10 consecutive years.
"We're fast and aggressive and don't use turn signals," said one local resident.
Bostonians are 244% more likely to get into a collision compared to the national average with only 3.07 years between accidents.
"Whenever we get on the highway, it's called the mass slide where you just cross over — go right across three lanes, no blinker," remarked Andrew. "Don't even really look. You look once, make sure you're good and then three lanes."
Springfield and Worcester also topped the riskiest lists taking the 196th and 197th spot respectively.
