FOXBORO, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – The New England Patriots are reportedly hiring Josh McDaniels as the team’s next offensive coordinator, according to multiple sources.

This marks McDaniels’ third stint as an offensive coordinator for the Patriots. He previously led the offense from 2006 to 2008 and 2012 to 2021. McDaniels also served as an assistant coach and a quarterbacks coach in New England from 2001-2006.

McDaniels is a six-time Super Bowl champion, including three as an offensive coordinator. He worked with Mac Jones in 2021 before leaving to become the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

He will run the offense under new head coach Mike Vrabel, who played for the Patriots during McDaniels’ first stint with the team.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated when more information is available.
