BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — While some might quip about the turkey, others say Nov. 27 is all about the sides.

Campbell's recently released their annual State of the Sides report, and found in Massachusetts, 47% of people cared more about the stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce than the entree.

Kayla will have turkey on her plate, but it's actually something greener that's got her excited.

"My mom makes really good greens. She's West African, so she makes these really, really great greens with tomatoes kind of dish."

The fourth annual report reveals 63% of those surveryed said they would prefer eating side dishes over the turkey at Thanksgiving, up from 56% in 2024. And while 50% believe that Mac & Cheese will rein supreme, some Bay Staters like Steve are loyal to the bird,

"We are doing the typical turkey, we are doing salad, we are doing mashed potatoes, we are doing green beans."

If he hadn't spent the last couple years perfecting his turkey recipe, he says he might be more of a sides guy.

"I think a well-done bird is the best, but I could see if it was kind of dry, the sides are kind of more exciting."
