BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Revere Hotel in Boston showed their thanks for their local fire station by preparing a Thanksgiving meal for them while they are on call for the holidays.
Meal preparation was spearheaded by Executive Chef Jeremy Franzen and the culinary team at Rebel’s Guild, which is the restaurant inside the Revere Hotel. Hotel management then delivered the meal by hand to the Ladder 17 Fire Station just down the road from them.
This is the fifth year that the hotel has provided a Thanksgiving meal to the fire department. Fire Captain Dan Martell said he was incredibly grateful, as they wouldn’t be able to have a meal like this otherwise
“Yeah, I don’t think we have the time to do the full cooking here,” he said. “We’re extremely thankful for the support from companies around the community that we serve.”

General manager of the hotel Sean Howe was happy that they could give back to the fire station, as they have done so much for them, with the rest of the staff echoing this sentiment.
“These guys are great, they’re around whenever we need them,” Howe said. “It’s the least we can do, especially while they’re working and away from their families during the holiday.”
“We just like to give back for them,” one staff member said. “They’re here all the time helping out, so we just wanted to help out a little bit for them for Thanksgiving.”
